Stefan Grossman (born April 16, 1945) is an American acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and singer, music producer and educator, and co-founder of Kicking Mule records. He is known for his instructional videos and Vestapol line of videos and DVDs.

Burnin Red Ivanhoe er et dansk rockband, der blev dannet af Karsten Vogel i 1967 i København. Samme år den 22. maj spillede bandet i Munkekælderen som M/S Mitte – The Burnin Red Ivanhoes. Den officielle debut kom den 14. december 1968 i Brøndby Pop Club som opvarmning for Spooky Tooth. Denne koncert vakte så megen positiv omtale, at de fik en pladekontrakt, og sommeren 1969 udkom M 144. Pladen vakte ikke kun opmærksomhed i Danmark, men også i Tyskland og England og bandet var et af de første skandinaviske bands, der opnåede international opsigt og succes.[1] Bandet turnerede flttigt i udlandet og i Danmark, men d. 10. april 1972 blev bandet opløst, og Karsten Vogel dannede i musikalsk forlængelse af Burnin Red Ivanhoe det rent instrumentale Secret Oyster. Burnin Red Ivanhoe er dog siden blevet gendannet flere gange. Både med koncerter og pladeudgivelser. Bandet spiller en fusion af friform jazz, blues og hård rock og har både gjort sig i koncise melodiøse sange og instrumentale og komplekse kompositioner af længere varighed. Deres udgivelser blev mellem 1969 og 1974 udgivet på Sonet og disse udgivelser regnes for deres mest essentielle. De er ikke alle udgivet på cd endnu.

The Grease Band was a British rock band that originally formed as Joe Cocker's backing group. They appeared with Cocker during the 1960s, including his performance at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969.[1] After Cocker formed the Mad Dogs & Englishmen band, the group released two albums without him in the 1970s.

Their keyboard player was Chris Stainton, another Sheffield born man (known to his friends as Robin) who went on to tour extensively with Eric Clapton. Bassist Alan Spenner and rhythm guitarist Neil Hubbard went on to play in the UK white soul band Kokomo; following this, Spenner worked in support of the late 1970s/early 1980s incarnation of Roxy Music. Drummer Bruce Rowland later joined Fairport Convention.[1] Henry McCullough was the Grease Band's lead guitarist, a role he later occupied in Paul McCartney's Wings, and continues today as a solo artist.[2] Rowland, Spenner, Hubbard and McCullough all played on the original 1970 recording of Jesus Christ Superstar.[1]

Michael 'Mick' Softley (born 1941, in South Woodford, Essex) is a British singer/songwriter and guitarist. A figurehead during the British folk scene, Softley set up his own folk club, released three albums and has been known to work with Mac MacLeod, Donovan Leitch and Maddy Prior. Donovan even covered two of Softley's songs ("Goldwatch Blues" and "The War Drags On") on his early albums.

Roskilde Festival er Nordens største samt Europas næststørste festival, hvor der spilles musik i forskellige genrer, men overvejende pop og rock. Som på andre festivaler er der ikke kun musik, men masser af events og diverse boder.Roskilde Festival blev startet i 1971 og afholdes hvert år sidst i juni eller først i juli på Roskilde Dyrskueplads. Selve festival-pladsen og dermed det meste musik, åbner om torsdagen, mens camping-området åbner søndagen inden.Det unikke ved festivalen er, bortset fra arrangementets særlige stemning, at mange tusinde mennesker arbejder frivilligt og ulønnet, og at festivalens overskud hvert år tilfalder kulturelle formål og humanitært og velgørende arbejde over hele verden. Frem mod festivalen i 2014 har man fra Roskilde Festival-gruppen givet deltagere mulighed for at nominere og stemme på, hvem de mener overskuddet skal gå til. Roskilde festival har i 2014 fokus på medborgerskab, bæredygtighed og socialt ansvar. Festivalen arrangeres af Foreningen Roskilde Festival, der indgår i Roskilde Festival-gruppen.
